Dr. Elizabeth Lombardo started her professional career as a Physical Therapist after getting her Master’s degree at Duke University. It was then that she realized that every goal we have, whether it is related to our bodies, relationships, work or life, requires a significant mental edge in order to achieve it. In her quest to help people actualize their dreams, Elizabeth went back to school to get her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Rachel Herz, Ph.D. is a neuroscientist and leading world expert on the psychological science of smell. She has been conducting research on the sense of smell, emotion, perception, motivated behavior and cognition since 1990. Dr. Herz has published over 70 original research papers, received numerous awards and grants, co-authored several college textbooks, and is an adjunct professor at Brown University and Boston College. She is also a professional consultant to various industries regarding smell, taste, food and flavor, and is frequently called upon as an expert witness in legal cases involving olfaction.
Dr. Herz is the author of two popular science books, The Scent of Desire: Discovering Our Enigmatic Sense of Smell, which was selected as a finalist for the “2009 AAAS Prize for Excellence in Science Books,” and That’s Disgusting: Unraveling the Mysteries of Repulsion, which analyzes the emotion of disgust from culture to neuroscience, and has received numerous accolades from both popular and scholarly presses. Nadim A. Shaath, Ph.D. received his B.Sc. degree (Honors) in Chemistry from the University of Alexandria, Egypt in 1967 and his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1973. He joined the Chemistry Faculty at the State University of New York at Purchase in 1975. In 1979-1980, he served as the Chairman of the Chemistry Department at Suny-Purchase and then joined Felton Worldwide, a flavor, fragrance and sunscreen company, as Executive Vice President and Technical Director. His most recent book, Healing Civilizations, is used by corporations around the world looking to learn more about the incredible properties of essential oils.
Leatrice Eiseman is a color specialist who has been called “America’s color guru.” She heads the Eiseman Center for Color Information and Training and is also executive director of the Pantone Color Institute and edits the Ezine on the Pantone website. Lee is the author of books on color, among them, Colors For Your Every Mood (Capital Books, Sterling, VA), which was chosen as a Book of the Month Club selection and received an award from the Independent Publisher’s Association.

Susan Minamyer has a Masters degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Beloit College. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and has conducted numerous psychological and behavioral research studies. Susan is a world traveler, cultural explorer and English teacher. Kirsten Straughan is a nutritionalist and serves as an advisor to the Factory. She received her undergraduate degree in nutrition and completed her internship at Loyola University Chicago. She is currently Clinical Assistant Professor, Director of Nutrition Science Program at University of Illinois at Chicago and a registered dietitian. Previously, she served at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and four years of private practice nutritional counseling work, in addition to many nutritional educational experiences.

In February 2015, Enjoy Life Foods was acquired by Mondelez International, a $34 billion multinational food company in an all-cash transaction. In December 2013, Scott co-founded Mandell Ventures, a family-run business that invests its own capital in early stage operating companies and real estate assets. Prior to starting Enjoy Life Foods (1993–2001), Scott was a Vice President in commercial banking at American National Bank in Chicago (currently JP Morgan Chase).
Scott currently serves on the Board of Trustees (and as Treasurer) of SPOON Foundation, a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and is an active alumnus and frequent speaker at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
