The Mood Factory Launches New 21 Days to Happiness Course with Dr. Elizabeth Lombardo and Happiness Scented Product Line to Inspire Consumers to Get Present Through Sensory Engagement

The Mood Factory takes an innovative approach to wellness, combining tech and consumer products, launching a new online 21 days to Happiness course along with a Happiness Mood-scent product line, encouraging multi-sensory engagement as a way to get present. The Mood Factory, established in 2004 by Founder and Chief Mood Officer Kathryn Goetzke, is relaunching the company based on exciting new evidence on the impact of scents and moods, in combination with tricks and tips of ways to be positively engaged in life. The new 21 Days to Happiness course is $39 and available online, and consumer products range from $10-$30 and on The Mood Factory site, with retailers coming soon.

The Happiness Mood-scent is a blend of lemon, bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit and lime essential oils. The uplifting scent encourages the mind to focus on the present and savor the moment.

Dr. Nadim Shaath, author of Healing Civilizations and expert in essential oils, remarks “The Happiness blend is a mixture of five refreshing citrus essential oils, namely, lemon, mandarin, bergamot, lime and grapefruit. Increasing research has shown that scents can have a positive impact on moods, and the citrus family is especially known for the uplifting and invigorating qualities.”

Research suggests people are out of the present moment approximately 50% of the time, and it is one of the greatest barriers to human happiness and contentment. The Mood Factory has infused the Mood-scent Happiness essential oil blend in a number of products, including bath bombs, body butters, scent sticks, body scrubs, massage oils and room and body sprays. The Mood Factory plans to launch a full product suite in the Tranquility, Serenity, and Energy blends as well.

“I use the Mood-Sticks before big presentations, while traveling, in the morning before a workout, and as a general mood booster,” says Goetzke. “Learning how to get present is an ongoing challenge for me, and creating fun and easy ways to do so has been a great life hack. Literally, anyone can use them when they need a quick pick-me-up – kids can put one in their backpacks, women can carry one in their purse, and men can have one in their briefcase.”

The Happiness line is available on The Mood Factory website. Mood Sticks are available from $10, and they also have a Mood-air essential oil diffuser that is water-free for $30.

In conjunction with the Mood-scent line, The Mood Factory is also launching a 21 Days to Happiness course as a way to give consumers additional tips on how to live an engaged, joyful, more fulfilling life. Dr. Lombardo’s unique ability to help men and women unlock their own, unique personal happiness code has made her America’s most interviewed celebrity psychologist. The Course provides research-supported instructions on how to create and continue a mindset of happiness. It features quick videos which outline a daily practice on which to focus, as well as action steps for that day.

Dr. Lombardo is passionate about teaching this, as she notes “Happiness is a skill that anyone can learn and improve upon. The problem is, as a society, we practice happiness in all the wrong ways. We think happiness will come from external events like making more money or having people admire you. That just sets you up for disappointment.

My grandmother used to teach a course in college called ‘how to play the piano despite years of practice.’ She would help people get rid of the skills that were ineffective and teach them the ones that were helpful. And when her students practiced, as you can imagine, they could not help but be better at playing the piano. I teach people how to be happy despite years of practice.”

The 21 Days to Happiness course launches November 11th, and is available to start any time after. For less than a cup of coffee a day at only $39, a person can start practicing evidence-based techniques to increase joy, engagement, and satisfaction in life. The program is also available for the workplace, as we know that happier people are more engaged, productive, and collaborative, all important to the ultimate success of the company.

As part of the campaign, The Mood Factory is donating 10% of profits from the sale of Happiness products and courses to Hopeful Minds, a skills-based program for teaching hope to young kids. The program teaches 8-10-year-old children about creating, maintaining and sustaining hope even during the most trying times.
